Sushmeetha Morugan
Founder | Trainer | TV Host | Entrepreneur
Sushmeetha Morugan is a passionate changemaker with a remarkable 15-year journey in skills training, women empowerment, and beauty entrepreneurship. She began her career as a journalist and TV presenter, hosting a live talk show for four years and producing over 1,000 episodes that earned her a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records. Her career spanned almost a decade, with numerous other television shows and roles as an emcee for multilingual events, further solidifying her influence in the industry. Throughout her career, Sushmeetha has always been driven by a passion for shows that educate, empower, and inspire, rather than simply entertain.
Her journey into training began with Arena Eduinfo, a corporate training company registered under HRDcorp. Over the years, her focus shifted toward empowering women, particularly those from rural areas, single mothers, and women with limited formal education. She believes in offering more than just financial aid—Sushmeetha is dedicated to providing these women with essential skills training to unlock their full potential.
In 2016, her first HRDcorp grant under the Empathic Initiative for women empowerment through SFX makeup artist training gave her the platform to align and focus on providing free skills training for women in Malaysia. Since then, her organization has worked tirelessly to gain support from government agencies for additional training grants. This initiative laid the foundation for her continued efforts in uplifting women.
Over the next decade, Sushmeetha’s focus on women’s empowerment led to the founding of SHINE, an NGO dedicated to lasting change through education, skill development, and upliftment.

Kannan Raajamanickam is an internationally respected makeup educator, mentor, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. For many years, he has travelled across countries, sharing not only the art of professional makeup but also the knowledge, confidence, and entrepreneurial skills that enable women to build independent and sustainable careers.His philosophy goes far beyond teaching makeup techniques. He believes that every woman deserves the opportunity to discover her potential, achieve financial independence, and create a better future for herself and her family.Through his training programmes, workshops, and mentorship, he has inspired and empowered hundreds of women from diverse backgrounds—including homemakers, single mothers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and young women seeking a new beginning—to transform their passion into successful professions.His students are not merely learning a skill; they are gaining confidence, rebuilding self-belief, and becoming leaders within their own communities. Many have gone on to establish successful businesses, create employment opportunities for others, and inspire the next generation of women.

Every successful journey begins with a decision, and for Mrs. B. Sree Devi, that life-changing decision was made in 1997. Having completed her education up to the 10th standard, she believed that life should always have purpose and growth. Rather than remaining idle, she chose to learn the art of beauty by enrolling in a beautician course. With determination, passion, and a dream in her heart, she started her salon from a small space in her own home. What began as a humble home setup gradually grew through hard work, continuous learning, and unwavering dedication to her clients. She consistently upgraded her skills, renovated and expanded her salon, and transformed her passion into a respected profession. Today, Sree Devi Baskar proudly brings 29 years of experience in the beauty industry. She is the founder of two branches of Mangai Beauty Salon, has served more than 1,000+happy clients, and has successfully completed over 500+bridal and professional makeup transformations. Her journey is a beautiful reminder that success is not determined by how far you study, but by the courage to take the first step, the passion to keep learning, and the perseverance to never give up. Today, her profession is more than just a career—it is her identity and an inspiration to many aspiring women entrepreneurs.

Priyankka Arumugam is a passionate entrepreneur, internationally trained makeup artist who is recognised for her dedication to social impact and entrepreneurship, Priyankka continues to use her platform to encourage women to dream bigger, work with confidence, and create lasting change. As the Vice President of SHINE Trust, she believes that empowering one woman creates a positive ripple effect that strengthens families, communities, and future generations. Her vision is to inspire women to believe in themselves, develop meaningful careers, and become leaders who empower others. Through SHINE Trust, Priyankka Arumugam is committed to creating opportunities for women through education, mentorship, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and community initiatives.

As a Skill Development Catalyst, she empowers women through her deep knowledge in confinement care, baby wellness, and the expressive world of SFX makeup. With flair in both nurturing and artistic domains, Latha’s cheerful and compassionate nature makes her a beloved mentor. She believes in equipping women with practical, income-generating skills that also honour their identity and passion — transforming everyday talents into sustainable livelihoods and empowering women with lifelong confidence and independence.
